Fun variation to lasagne....noodle-less! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
8 ounces tomato sauce |
6 ounces tomato paste |
1 tablespoon italian seasoning |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded |
1/2 cup cottage cheese |
1 tablespoon parsley flakes |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
10 canned pilsbury refrigerated biscuits (refrigerated section) |
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. 2. Brown beef and drain. 3. Add 1 1/2 cups water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, italian seasoning and pepper. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. 4. Combine mozzarella, cottage cheese, parsley & onion. 5. Press each biscuit into 4 circles. 6. Place 2 tbsp cheese mixture on each biscuit. 7. Fold over and press edges toether with fork to seal. 8. Pour meat mixture into ungreased 9x13 baking dish. 9. Top with cheese filled biscuits. 10. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. 11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown. |
