Cheesy Bacon Jalapeño Dip |

Tried this dip at a party and just had to get the recipe. Serve with Tortilla chips or what ever you like to dip. Ingredients:
10 slices bacon, sliced thin |
2 tomatoes, diced (use 3 if they are small) |
1 jalapeno pepper, sliced thin without seeds |
2 garlic cloves, minced (more if you like) |
375 g cream cheese (1 1/2 pkgs) |
500 ml 35% cream (heavy cream) |
2 green onions, sliced thin |
1 pinch salt |
1 teaspoon pepper (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon till crisp – drain well, removing all traces of fat. Crumble and set aside. 2. Sauté tomatoes, jalapeno, garlic, salt, and pepper until thickened. 3. Add pre-cooked bacon. 4. Cut cream cheese into cubes; add to mixture, stirring until melted. 5. Add green onions. 6. Stir in heavy cream, simmer, stirring occasionally until desired consistency (approx.5-10 minutes). 7. Serve with your favorite dippers. |
