A great appetizer that has endless possibilites. Add peppers, olives, etc. to the mushrooms! From a friend of mine. Ingredients:
1 package crescent roll dough |
4 ounces softened cream cheese |
12 - 15 fresh moushrooms, chopped |
2 t butter |
drizzle evoo |
1 t worcestershire |
1 t chopped garlic |
1/2 c grated parmesan |
1/2 c grated mozzerella or porvolone |
palmful italian seasoning |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C [350°F]. 2. Cover the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with crescent dough, meshing seams together 3. Spread dough with softened cream cheese 4. Drizzle EVOO in skillet and add butter 5. Saute mushrooms with worcestershire and garlic 6. Sprinkle mushrooms all over cream cheese 7. Top with other cheeses and Italian seasoning 8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. 9. Immediately cut into approximately 1 1/2-inch squares and serve hot. |
