Make ahead for get togethers. This recipe earned my kiddos A+ in cooking classes. You can use low/non fat dairy to make these as well. Ingredients:
1 8oz. pkg. mexican shredded cheese (with seasonings) |
1 8oz. pkg cream cheese |
1 8 oz. carton sour cream |
2 green onions (both white and green parts) chopped |
1 4 oz. can chopped mild green chilis |
1 4 oz. can chopped black olives |
6 large tortillas (flour) |
Directions:
1. Cream the sour cream and cream cheese together. 2. Add onions, chilis and olives, then fold in cheese. 3. Spread about 2 Tablespoons of cheese mix onto each tortilla. 4. Roll tortillas up using a bit of sour cream as paste at seam. 5. Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. 6. When ready to serve, cut each roll into 1 inch pieces, about 10 each. 7. I usually save the end pieces for my family and the center ones for guests. |
