You might want to add a little hot sauce to your bowl. Just add French bread and you are set. Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef |
1 chopped onion |
1 cup shredded carrots |
1 cup chopped celery |
2 tsp. dried basil |
6 cups chicken broth |
5 peeled and chopped potatoes |
2 tbsp butter |
1/2 cup flour |
3/4 lb cheddar cheese |
2 cups milk |
Directions:
1. Cook ground beef until crumbles 2. Add onion, carrots, celery and basil. Cook until vegetables are fork tender then drain. 3. Stir in broth and potatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10-12 minutes until potatoes are tender. 4. Melt butter in skillet. Add flour and stir until light brown. Add to meat mixture and simmer 6-8 minutes until thickened. 5. Add in cheese, stirring until melted. Add milk, salt and pepper to taste. Heat but do not boil. |
