Variation from Pillsbury. Easy to adjust for your family's taste. Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) package pillsbury grands jr. golden homestyle buttermilk biscuits |
1 lb ground beef |
1/4 cup onion, chopped (optional) |
1/3 cup ketchup |
3 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard |
dill pickle slices |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
5 -6 cheese slices |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400. Brown ground beef with onion and pepper over medium high heat, drain. 2. Add ketchup and mustard (can add more or less to taste) and heat a few minutes over low to medium-low heat. 3. Press 6 biscuits into a greased 9 inch pie plate and press up the side of the pan to create a crust. Cut remaining 4 biscuts into quarters and set aside. 4. Spread ground beef mixture over the biscuits. 5. Place remaining biscuits around edge of of ground beef mixture. 6. Bake 15-18 minutes. 7. Last few minutes cover with cheese slices and pickles. |
