No one elses was exactly like mine and I wanted to be able to save it! Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
1 cup rice krispies, crushed |
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
2 cups flour |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, powdered (or more) |
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Mix margarine and Rice Krispies (I use a stand mixer with a paddle attachment). 2. Then mix in cheese. 3. Combine flour and seasonings in another bowl. 4. Add to the cheese mixture gradually. 5. Roll mixture into marble-size balls. (I used a 1 inch cookie scoop.). 6. Flatten with fork onto parchment paper covered cookie sheet. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Don't overbake them! 8. Store in airtight container when cooled. Freezes well. |
