This recipe came from Lady Bird Johnson. I serve them each year on my Christmas Eve buffet. (They can be frozen.) Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened |
2 cups flour |
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups rice krispies |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Cut butter into flour. 3. Add cheese and seasonings. 4. Fold in cereal. 5. Drop by small spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten with back of spoon. 6. Bake for 10-15 minutes. 7. Don't let them get too brown! |
