This recipe is from Mrs. Wm. Oberndorfer, from the cookbook Heritage of Cooking A Collection of Recipes from East Perry County, Missouri. Ingredients:
1/2 gallon homemade cottage cheese |
5 eggs |
1/2 cup butter |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/4 cups sugar |
2/3 cup cream |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
1 pinch cinnamon |
1 pinch nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together. 2. Spread over coffee cake dough #40265 after it has risen. 3. Bake as directed in coffee cake recipe. |
