Cheese Stuffed Tortellini in a Garlic Cream Sauce |

A creamy noodle dish Ingredients:
20 ounces cheese tortellini |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
2 teaspoons salt (for noodles) |
4 tablespoons butter |
4 tablespoons flour |
2 tablespoons minced garlic cloves (more or less depending on your taste preference) |
1/4 cup white wine |
1 cup fat-free half-and-half |
2 cups chicken broth |
1 -2 cup shredded parmesan cheese (taste preference) |
salt |
black pepper |
1 -2 teaspoon oregano |
Directions:
1. Boil noodles in water with olive oil and salt for 7 to 10 minutes. 2. In a saute pan or large skillet melt better. 3. Add garlic and cook til lightly brown and fragrant. 4. Add in white wine. 5. Add flour and stir over medium heat until all the butter is incorporated. 6. Whisk in half and half until a thick cream forms. 7. Add in chicken stock and simmer for roughly five minutes. 8. Gradually whisk in shredded cheeses. 9. Add salt, pepper and oregano. 10. If sauce is too thick, thin down with milk. 11. Add in cooked Tortellini and serve. |
