'proper' cheese sauce - creamy and tasty- plenty here for four, even 6 people wouldn't feel cheated if you had other veg with it Ingredients:
40 g butter or marg |
50 g flour |
600 ml semi skimmed milk |
1 tsp mustard powder |
175 g mature cheese |
2 tblsp fresh white breadcrumbs |
Directions:
1. melt marg 2. add flour and cook for a minute or two 3. add milk slowly and cook until thickened 4. add mustard , cheese( reserving 2 tblsp for topping) and salt and pepper. 5. pour over chosen vegetable and top with crumbs and cheese |
