This is a great side dish. Ingredients:
6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced |
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup milk |
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, saute potatoes in butter until almost tender and lightly browned. 2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 3. Add milk. 4. Simmer uncovered until milk is absorbed. 5. Top with cheese. 6. Heat until melted. 7. Stir before serving. |
