I found this on Newf Goodies Dog Treats. I love giving my four legged friends gifts for the holidays. I just use different cookie cutters to make them festive! Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
1 tablespoon garlic powder (not garlic salt!) |
1 tablespoon soft butter or 1 tablespoon margarine |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Mix flour and cheese together. 2. Add garlic powder and softened butter. 3. Slowly add milk till you form a stiff dough. 4. You may not need all of the milk. 5. Knead on floured board for a few minutes. 6. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. 7. Cut into shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheet. 8. Bake 350 degrees oven for 15 minutes. 9. Let cool in oven with the door slightly open till cold and firm. 10. Refrigerate to keep fresh. 11. Prep time and yield are approximate. |
