A cheese meringue could be a savory cookie as an appetizer, or would go nicely with fresh fruit after a meal. Ingredients:
1 cup cheese, grated |
4 whites of egg |
seasonings to taste |
*use your favorite kind of cheese. |
Directions:
1. Beat the whites of egg stiff and add grated cheese and seasonings. 2. Drop by teaspoonsful on a greased and floured pastry sheet. 3. Bake in slow oven (250 to 275-degrees) for about 3 to 4 minutes or until light brown. Let them dry, dust-free, until they are crunchy, which might take several hours or even overnight. |
