Ingredients:
4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon red pepper |
4 cups (16 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
2 cups butter or margarine, softened |
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, salt, and pepper; cut in cheese and butter with a pastry blender. Continue mixing until mixture forms a dough. 2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with a 1 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until crisp. Remove from baking sheets, and cool on wire racks. |
