Grabbed this from a blog, our plain and simple life. Wanted to make an OAMC Cheese danish, and I'm hoping this is the one to do it. I have not tried to do this yet, but it looks like it might work. Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 egg yolk |
2 (8 ounce) cans crescent rolls |
1 egg white |
1 teaspoon water |
Directions:
1. Butter a 9x13 inch pan. 2. Spread 1 can of crescent rolls in bottom of pan. Press seams together with fingers. 3. Mix cream cheese, vanilla, lemon juice and egg yolk together; spread over rolls. 4. Cover with second can of rolls. 5. Mix and spread on top 1 teaspoon water and egg white. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. 7. Although the recipe calls for a 9x13 pan, I use a slightly larger one, preferring the Danish not so thick. |
