Try this cheese and herb bread with your favorite soup. Ingredients:
1 egg, well beaten |
1 cup milk |
1 tbsp. melted butter |
2 cups flour |
4 tsp. baking powder |
1 tbsp. sugar |
1/2 tsp. onion salt |
1/4 tsp. garlic powder |
1/2 tsp. oregano |
1/4 tsp. dry mustard |
1 1/4 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese |
1 tbsp. chopped dill or parsley (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine egg, milk and butter. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Make a well in dry ingredients and add milk mixture. Stir until well blended. 3. Spread into a greased 5x9 inch loaf pan 4. Bake at 350ºF for 45 minutes. |
