This is one of the best apple crisp desserts I have ever tried. I made it with splenda and it turned out really good. Ingredients:
4 cups sliced apples |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup water |
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 cup splenda sugar substitute |
2/3 cup flour |
1 dash salt |
1/3 cup butter |
1/4 lb cheese |
Directions:
1. Arrange apples in shallow greased pan. 2. Sprinkle with cinnamon. 3. Add water and lemon juice. 4. Combine splenda, flour and salt; work in butter to form a crumble mixture. 5. Stir in shredded cheese and sprinkle the mixture over the apples. 6. Bake at 350F until apples are tender and crust is brown and crisp, 40 minutes. |
