1 teaspoon(s) almond extract |
1 cup(s) cheerwine |
cheerwine frosting (below) |
1 box(es) devil's food cake mix |
Directions:
1. Prepare cake mix as directed. Substitute 1 cup Cheerwine for water. Add almond extract. Pour into greased and floured pan and bake as directed. Frost with Cheerwine Frosting. 2. Cheerwine Frosting: 3. /3 cup Cheerwine 4. /2 cups powdered sugar 5. /2 cup margarine 6. /4 tsp. almond extract 7. /4 cup cocoa 8. cup chopped nuts 9. Heat Cheerwine, margarine, and cocoa together til mixture comes to boil. Pour over powdered sugar and blend til smooth. Stir in almond extract. Mix in chopped nuts. Cool slightly and spread over cake. |
