This can be made ahead Ingredients:
3 large eggs, lightly beaten |
1 1/4 cups milk |
1/2 cup minced onion |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper |
1/8 teaspoon paprika |
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
8 slices white bread |
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Combine first 9 ingredients; set aside. 2. Butter bread; cut off crusts, and cut each slice into small squares. 3. Arrange a single layer of bread squares in a lightly greased 9 inch square pan; top with 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers until all bread and cheese are use. 4. POur egg mixture over all . 5. Cover and chill 8 hours. 6. Remove from refrigerator, let stand at room temp 30 minutes before baking. 7. Bake uncovered, at 325F for 1 hour. 8. Serve hot. |
