Great little crackers Ingredients:
1/2 lb. extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated |
1 stick (1/2 cup) cold unsalted butter, cut in bits |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup toasted and cooled sesame seeds |
1/4 cup minced shallot |
1/2 teaspoon sea salt |
pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees 2. Put all above ingredients in the food processor 3. Blend until it forms a ball of dough 4. Halve the dough and on sheets of plastic wrap & form each 1/2 into 6 log 1 1/2 in diameter 5. chill the dough in plastic wrap for 2 hours or until firm enough to slice 6. Cut dough into 1/4 slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 apart 7. Bake in center of oven in batches for 7minutes or till edges are browned 8. transfer to cooling rack carefully with metal spatula to cool. 9. About 56 crackers |
