This is a very easy yet very elegant dessert that is sure to impress even the pickiest of eaters. I make this quite often. Sometimes I use apples in place of the pears and both versions are popular and I never have any left. Read more . Extremely good warm with a dip of ice cream on the side. Ingredients:
1 pastry for 9-inch pie |
1 cup shredded medium sharp cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
3 large pears peeled cored and sliced |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Roll pastry to fit tart pan then ease into pan and trim. 2. In separate bowl combine 3/4 cup cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and flour then sprinkle on crust. 3. Arrange pears on top and sprinkle with cinnamon and remaining sugar. 4. Bake at 425 for 50 minutes then sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 2 minutes longer. |
