Cheddar Garlic Buttermilk Biscuits |

High altitude garlic spin on southern favorite! Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon garlic |
1/4 stick butter |
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 450 degrees. 2. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic and salt. 3. Cut in butter. 4. Stir in cheese. 5. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add buttermilk. 6. Stir with a fork until soft dough is formed, about 20-30 strokes. 7. Form dough into a ball and softly knead 10-15 times. 8. Pat out dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut with a cookie cutter. 9. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 12-14 minutes until golden. |
