For about as long as it will take to preheat your oven, you can have those wonderful restaurant style cheddar biscuits you crave - without having to go out and spend $75 on a dinner you probably didn't want in the first place. Read more . Why not admit you just wanted the biscuits! Enjoy! Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups biscuit mix (such as bisquick) |
4 tablespoons butter |
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
3/4 cup whole milk |
butter topping (see directions, below) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine biscuit mix with butter, and blend in with pastry cutter (or use two forks to cut in). Add garlic, cheese, and milk. Mix well, being sure not to overwork dough. 3. Drop by ice cream (or similar) scoop, onto well greased cookie sheets, a few inches apart. 4. Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned. 5. Upon removal from the oven, melt together: 6. 2 tablespoons butter 7. 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic 8. 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley 9. 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt 10. Brush above melted butter mixture over hot biscuits. 11. Serve immediately. |
