This recipe goes with Cheddar-Pear Cobbler Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup shortening |
1/4 cup (1 ounce) shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
2 to 3 tablespoons cold water |
Directions:
1. Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Stir in cheese. Sprinkle cold water (1 tablespoon at a time) evenly over surface; stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. Shape into a ball. |
