Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
dash of red pepper |
2/3 cup lard |
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
6 to 7 tablespoons cold water |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, and pepper; cut in lard and cheese with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water evenly over surface; stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. Shape dough into a ball; chill. Use as directed in desired recipe. |
