Cheddar Cheese Pan Biscuits

A simple recipe to go with your favorite dish.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
6 oz of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup of milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. In a 9 square baking pan, melt butter in oven (3-5 minutes).
3. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl combine all your ingredients except for your milk.
4. Stir in milk just until moistened.
5. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead about 10 times or until smooth.
6. Pat or roll dough into a 12 x 6 rectangle.
7. Cut into 12, 1 inch strips.
8. Dip each strip into melted butter in pan.
9. Fold strip in half.
10. Place folded strips in two rows in same pan.
11. Bake 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
12. Serve with your meal.
