This is amazing. I serve this in the cold winter months with either stew or chili. Everyone loves it. It is also good toasted for breakfast and makes amazing croutons if you manage to have any leftovers. Yummy. Read more ... Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour |
1/3 cup packed brown sugar |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar |
12 ounces beer |
4 tablespoons butter melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 then lightly grease a loaf pan. 2. In large bowl combine flours, sugars, baking powder and salt then mix to combine well. 3. Slowly add beer to dry ingredients and stir lightly until just combined and completely moistened. 4. Add cheddar cheese and mix to combine then place into prepared loaf pan. 5. Pour melted butter over the top then bake 45 minutes. |
