Cheddar Bacon Toasts

I found this in a TOH cookbook about 5 years ago. I like to serve these at Brunch. They go well with a salad or egg casserole.
Ingredients:
2 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup crumbled cooked bacon
french bread
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine the cheese , mayonnaise and bacon.
2. Cut the bread into 24 slices, each about 1/2 inch thick.
3. Spread the cheese mixture on one side of each slice. Place on baking sheet.
4. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Serve hot.
