I always have a loaf of pound cake in the freezer for last minute desserts like this. Looks professional and taste great Ingredients:
1 large frozen loaf of pound cake |
raspberry jam or preserves |
1, 12 oz pkg chocolate chips |
2 cups sour cream |
2 tsp vanilla |
1/2 to 1 cup sliced or chopped almonds or other favorite nuts |
Directions:
1. Slice frozen pound cake loaf into 6 or 7 layerts. 2. Frost all layers with the jam. 3. Melt choclate and stir in sour cream and vanilla till well blended and cool a bit. 4. Frost each jam coated layer with the chocolate mixture, and one may frost entire cake ( sides ) so it's fully coated in chocloate too but noy necessary 5. Top with the nuts, presssing into chocolate coating to adhere 6. Chill well until ready to serve. 7. Slice and serve |
