I used to love going to the Chart House, but they closed the one near us. They handed out their recipe for Mud Pie when you asked for it. Ingredients:
1/2 package chocolate wafer cookies, crushed |
1/2 stick of butter, melted |
1 qt coffee ice cream (brigham's, if you can get it) |
1 1/2 c fudge sauce |
Directions:
1. Mix crushed cookies and melted butter 2. Press into 9 pie plate 3. Spread softened coffee ice cream over crust 4. Place in freezer to firm up 5. Spread fudge sauce over ice cream 6. Freeze approximately 10 hours 7. Slice into 8 portions, serve on chilled plate with a chilled fork 8. Top with whipped cream and slivered almonds |
