A cheap, tasty, healthy way to cook broccoli. Goes really well with barbecued steak or spicy sausages. Ingredients:
dash olive oil |
2 cloves garlic, chopped |
1 red chilli pepper, chopped |
pinch of salt |
1 head of broccoli, chopped into florets |
1/2 lemon, juiced |
handful of almonds, sliced |
Directions:
1. Saute the garlic and chilli in a wok (or large frying pan) 2. Add the broccoli and lemon, cover and steam until almost done 3. Uncover, add the almonds and cook on high until the broccoli is slightly charred (don't worry that there is no liquid in the pan at this stage). |
