I got this recipe on about a month ago and just tried it this morning. I halved the recipe used an 8X8-in baking dish, but kept the same cooking time. The four of us had plenty and it was absolutely delicious. Read more . Thought someone else might like to try it too. Ingredients:
12 slices bacon |
1/4-cp butter, melted |
3-cups croutons |
2-cups grated cheddar cheese |
6 eggs |
1 3/4-cups milk |
1 bel pepper, diced |
1-tbspn prepared mustard |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Fry bacon, drain and crumble. 2. Set aside. 3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 4. Melt butter in microwave. 5. Spray a 9X12-in baking dish with Pam. 6. Place croutons in the bottom of the dish, and drizzle with melted butter. 7. Sprinkle with the shredded cheddar cheese. 8. Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisking to break up the yolks. 9. Add milk, pepper, mustard, salt and pepper, and beat until well-combined. 10. Pour over the croutons and cheese and sprinkle with crumbled bacon. 11. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. 12. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minute before serving. 13. -Susana |
