A nice change of pace BBQ-prep time is marinade time Ingredients:
2#s pork shoulder |
1/4 cups each,soy sauce* and hoisin sauce |
3 tbs. each, ketchup* and honey |
2 tsp. each, grated ginger* and minced garlic |
1 tsp. sesame oil |
1/2 tsp. five-spice powder |
Directions:
1. combine all starred items in a small bowl and whisk to mix well 2. place pork and sauce in a ziplock bag and marinate for 2 hours, turning occasionally- if in a hurry, you can skip this step 3. place pork and marinade in a crock pot and cover and cook on low for 8 hours 4. remove pork with slotted spoon to a work area and shred 5. can thicken sauce with cornstarch and serve with meat on rice and a side of stir fried veggies. |
