It is just one of those breads that you can use with so many diffirent dishes i.e. curry, salads etc. Ingredients:
1c ray bread flour |
1c cake flour |
1.5c white bread flour |
1tsp salt |
125g butter (no margarine) |
1/3c cumin seeds |
200ml milk (luke warm) |
olive oil |
Directions:
1. Use 125g real butter and work it into the flour to obtain a texture resembling bread crumbs; 2. Work a third cup cumin seeds into the crumbs; 3. Add 200ml luke warm milk; 4. Work it into the mix until it forms a ball; 5. Let it rest for 30 minutes; 6. Roll it out in 30g rounds with an average diameter of 8cm and about 2cm thick; 7. Heat a pan with olive oil and bake till golden brown. 8. NOTE: 9. By rolling it out very thin and then deep frying it, it blows up and forms wonderful snaks. For this I usually cut them into squares of 2cm by 2cm. |
