a family tradition at the holidays Ingredients:
potatoes 5 |
butter 4tbs |
half&half 1/2-1c |
heavy whipping cream 1pt |
parmesean cheese 3/4c |
hot paprika 1tbs |
Directions:
1. peel and cube before boiling untill tender 2. before draining potatoes place the heavy whipping cream along with a stainless steel mixing bowl in the freezer 3. drain the potatoes 4. add butter and begin to beat with electric mixer 5. add half&half and continue to beat until fairly smooth 6. place in large cassarole dish and smooth out (be sure there is about an inch of clearence to top of dish) 7. remove whipping cream and steel bowl from freezer, pour whipping cream in bowl and begin mixing with with electric beater on high until stiff 8. spread whipping cream over mashed taters like icing a cake 9. sprinkle parmesean cheese evenly over the whipping cream 10. finish with paprika 11. place in preheated oven at 375f 12. bake for 30min or until golden brown |
