stir fry to be served over white or brown steamed rice. Ingredients:
1 lb. chicken, cubed |
1 med. white onion, chopped |
1 green bell pepper, chopped |
2 large carrots, julienned |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 tbsp canola oil |
2/3 cup oyster sauce |
1 tbsp sugar |
1 tbsp distilled vinegar |
2 tsp dried red pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in wok. Add garlic and crushed red pepper until they are bubbling. Throw in the cubed chicken meat. Fry over med./high heat until cooked thoroughly. Add vegetables and sugar, vinegar, and oyster sauce. Add water if you want more sauce. Cook until vegetables are at the desired tenderness. I also add a splash of fish and soy sauces too but many don't like that. Serve immediately over steamed rice. |
