I couldn't find a category for beverages...anyway...this is perfect for those chilly winter mornings....my mum & dad love it. I'm not a tea/coffee person. A health advice for those using artificial sweeteners (aspartame) Ingredients:
2 tsp fresh ginger root-grated |
2 tsp cinnamon powder |
2 tsp cardamom powder |
1 tsp clove powder |
a pinch of freshly ground black pepper |
2 cups water |
4 cups skimmed milk |
1/4 cup black tea leaves; (mix assam & darjeeling) |
sugar to taste |
cocoa powder to garnish |
Directions:
1. Bring water to boil. Add everything except for the tea & milk. 2. Reduce the heat and simmer. 3. Add tea leaves and continue simmering for 15 minutes. 4. Add milk and sugar. 5. Strain into a cup/mug 6. Dust a little cocoa powder 7. Serve hot... |
