This is a really good recipe. The topping is meant to be like a top of an espresso drink so it is pretty much foam so feel free to add any flavors to it! Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1 tablespoon chai tea mix |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened |
1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 large eggs |
1/2 cup milk |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. preheat oven 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients in small bowl. Beat in butter, brown sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl with an electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time, beating until just blended. On low speed add dry ingredients and milk. bake for 20-25 minutes. 2. Topping: Beat cream until thickened (adding chai flavoring if desired) spoon the thickened cream on top of each cupcake and dust tops with cinnamon. |
