I threw this together on the fly while making cranberry relish for thanksgiving.I decided to make another batch my own way! Let me know what you think or what I should change (if any) Ingredients:
12 oz bag fresh cranberries |
1/2 cup sugar |
3/4 cup orange juice |
1 whole fresh jalapeno |
1 tbls crystalized ginger |
1 pinch cinnamon |
1 lime zested |
1 tsp corn starch |
Directions:
1. Mince the jalapeno and ginger, then zest the lime and add to a saute' pan along with the sugar, orange juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Now turn heat to low and add the cranberries stirring frequently and cooking until most of them pop and the mixture is boiling up.Remove from heat, the mixture will thicken as it cools. Serve it warm or cold. 2. Enjoy |
