a recipe a friend gave me... by far the best granola/cereal recipe i've made and/or tasted... i sometimes substitute different nuts or dried fruit, and it always turns out great... i also occasionally add extra honey to make it more clumped for a great healthy cold cereal... :) Ingredients:
4 cups old fashioned oats |
4 cups quick oats |
1 cup sunflower seeds |
1 cup almonds |
1 cup craisins |
2/3 cup vegetable oil |
2/3 cup honey (or more, if desired) |
2 tablespoons ground flax seed |
Directions:
1. mix everything but craisins and flax seeds together. 2. bake in oven at 350 for 5 minutes. 3. take out, stir in craisins and mix well. 4. bake for another 5-8 minutes. 5. let cool in pan then mix in flax seeds. |
