These make a crisp cookie Ingredients:
1 cup shortening |
1 cup brown sugar |
3/4 cup white sugar |
2 eggs |
2 cups oatmeal |
2 cups rice krispies |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 cup nutmeats |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar. 2. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. 3. Stir in oatmeal, salt, flour, soda, baking powder, and nuts. 4. Fold in coconut, rice krispies. 5. Form into small balls and press down with a glass dipped in water. 6. Bake 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until light brown. |
