Cereal and Toffee Dessert Bars |

Imaginations can run wild creating different variations of this dessert. Use any combination of crisp cereals and any flavor of light ice cream your family likes. Ingredients:
4 (1.4-ounce) bars chocolate-covered english toffee candy bars, crushed |
8 cups vanilla light ice cream, softened |
4 cups crispy rice cereal squares, coarsely crushed |
2 cups whole-grain toasted oat cereal |
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar |
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted |
1/3 cup flaked sweetened coconut, toasted |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |

Directions:
1. Stir crushed candy into ice cream in a large bowl. Cover and freeze until ready to use. 2. Combine rice cereal squares and next 5 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring until well blended. Press 3 1/2 cups cereal mixture in bottom of a 13 x 9–inch metal baking pan coated with cooking spray. 3. Spread softened ice-cream mixture over cereal mixture; top evenly with remaining cereal mixture. Cover and freeze 8 hours or until firm. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into bars. 4.
