Cereal and Toffee Dessert Bars

Imaginations can run wild creating different variations of this dessert. Use any combination of crisp cereals and any flavor of light ice cream your family likes.
Ingredients:
4 (1.4-ounce) bars chocolate-covered english toffee candy bars, crushed
8 cups vanilla light ice cream, softened
4 cups crispy rice cereal squares, coarsely crushed
2 cups whole-grain toasted oat cereal
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/3 cup flaked sweetened coconut, toasted
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:
1. Stir crushed candy into ice cream in a large bowl. Cover and freeze until ready to use.
2. Combine rice cereal squares and next 5 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring until well blended. Press 3 1/2 cups cereal mixture in bottom of a 13 x 9–inch metal baking pan coated with cooking spray.
3. Spread softened ice-cream mixture over cereal mixture; top evenly with remaining cereal mixture. Cover and freeze 8 hours or until firm. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into bars.
