2 1/2 cups sliced celery |
3 cups chicken stock |
1 1/2 teaspoons celery salt |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
5 teaspoons all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons milk |
3 cups milk |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Simmer celery and stock until celery is tender. 2. Add celery salt and nutmeg. 3. Make a paste of flour with 2 tablespoonfuls milk; add to celery, stirring carefully. 4. Add 3 cups milk and heat. 5. DO NOT BOIL. 6. Add cheese and serve hot. |
