This sauce ,when used on the foods recommended below, are a pairing that is outstanding. Use on: meat loaves, fish, eggs and meat croquettes. Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
3/4 cup celery, finely chopped |
1/4 cup flour |
2 cups milk |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Saute the celery in the butter for 5 minutes. 2. Slowly add the flour, while continuously stirring, until the mixture is lump free and smooth. 3. Continue stirring while you add the milk and cook until the sauce thickens, stirring constantly. 4. Remove from heat and season to taste. |
