Every Indian restaurant's busiest dish. Ingredients:
400g cauliflower (cut into small florets) |
50g onion |
25g green chillies |
50g all-purpose flour |
50g cornflour |
1 egg (beaten) |
pepper powder (black, preferable) and salt to taste |
10ml soy sauce (chilli sauce may be substituted) |
10ml tomato puree/ketchup |
25ml oil |
15g garlic |
food colour (red) |
Directions:
1. Mix both the flour with pepper powder, beaten egg, tomato ketchup and soy sauce to a very thick batter 2. Soak cauliflower florets in the batter and fry in oil. 3. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, green chillies and garlic. Add little salt and pepper. 4. Add fried cauliflower florets and simmer. 5. Depending upon the thickness required, add watered cornflour. |
