I changed amounts of the ingredients slightly because I roughly halved it but added 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. A great recipe for baking with kids... Ingredients:
2 bananas, mashed |
1/4 cup white sugar |
1 slightly beaten egg |
1/4 cup melted butter |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup flour |
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Mix the mashed banana, sugar, egg and butter. 2. In a separate bowl, mix together baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour. Mix wet and dry ingredients together and fold in the chocolate chips. 3. Pour into greased or paper-lined muffin tins, (3/4 full) and bake in 350 degrees F oven for 18-20 minutes. Makes 8 muffins. 4. Cool the muffins completely and store in an air-tight container. The flavor is better the next day! They freeze well, too. |
