Delicious creamy beef and noodle casserole. Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground beef |
7 1/2 ounces tomato sauce |
1 garlic clove, minced. |
2 tsp sugar |
14 ounces tomatoes, canned |
3 cups egg noodles, cooked |
4 ounces light cream cheese |
1 cup light sour cream |
6 green onions, chopped |
1 1/2 cups grated light cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Brown meat and drain. Add tomato sauce, garlic, salt & pepper to taste, sugar and tomatoes. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine hot noodles with cubed cream cheese. Stir to melt cheese. Add sour cream and green onions. In a greased 3-quart baking dish layer meat sauce, noodle mixture and cheddar cheese alternately. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Serves 6. |
