A gourmet treat to use instead of peanut butter. Plus you control the ingredients. You can use raw cashews or you can lightly roast them in the oven at 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Ingredients:
1 cup roasted cashews |
1/2 teaspoon sea salt or 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt |
2 tablespoons canola oil or 2 tablespoons other bland oil |
Directions:
1. Place the cashews and salt in the food processor and run until nuts are ground to a fine consistency. 2. Add the oil and continue processing until well incorporated. You may decide you want more oil 3. Store in glass jar and refrigerate. |
