We love this with steak and a baked potato, a very easy side dish. Ingredients:
3 cups baby carrots |
3 tablespoons port wine |
1 tablespoon fennel seed |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
salt |
fresh ground black pepper |
aluminum foil, as needed |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Tear 6 pieces of aluminum foil large enough to seal carrots. 3. Divide all ingredients evenly among all 6 pieces of foil. 4. Crimp to seal. 5. Place in the packets on a baking sheet. 6. Bake for 15 minutes, until carrots are tender. 7. Place the packet on each individual plate. 8. Let each person open their own packet. 9. Be careful when opening hot foil. |
